Description

Tug Of War pairs Paul McCartney's melodic instincts with polished early-1980s studio craft, moving between wistful balladry and bright, radio-facing pop rock. "Here Today" stands as one of his most direct and understated pieces of writing, while "Take It Away" and "Ebony And Ivory" lean toward buoyant, hook-led arrangements. The sequencing favors variety, touching on soft-shoe nostalgia, light funk and straightforward rock without settling in one place for long.
