Description

The Rumproller finds Lee Morgan working in tightly swinging hard bop, the title track riding a loose, danceable groove while "Eclipso" pushes toward brisker, more angular blowing. The interplay between horns and rhythm section stays crisp throughout, and slower pieces such as "Edda" leave space for warm, melodic trumpet phrasing. This is the LP edition of the album as part of Blue Note's 80th anniversary vinyl series.
