Description

The Complete Wooden Nickel Recordings draws together the four albums Styx made for the Wooden Nickel label, tracing the group's move from heavy, organ-driven hard rock toward the layered prog ambitions and big vocal harmonies of their later work. Alongside "Lady," the set makes room for extended pieces, classical borrowings and rougher early workouts such as "Witch Wolf" and "Jonas Psalter."
