Description

The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein builds its funk around a comic-book mythology, threading spoken interludes, chanted hooks and thick horn-and-synth arrangements through a loose narrative of laboratory-grown groove. Tracks such as "Dr. Funkenstein," "Do That Stuff" and "Everything Is On The One" lean on elastic bass, layered group vocals and rhythms built for repetition rather than restraint.
