Description

The Carpenter moves between banjo-driven string-band momentum and hushed, piano-led balladry, with the Avett Brothers' close harmonies holding the two sides together. Songs such as "Live And Die" and "February Seven" lean on bright melodic lift, while "A Father's First Spring" and "Winter In My Heart" sit in more reflective, plainly emotional territory. Originally released in 2012.
