Description

Tchaikovsky: The Nutcracker, Op. 71, TH 14 presents the Los Angeles Philharmonic in a live account of the composer's ballet score, recorded at Walt Disney Concert Hall in December 2013. The reading moves from the bustle of the opening party scene to the shimmering character dances and sweeping romanticism that follow, with the orchestra's color and rhythmic detail captured in concert. This 2CD edition spreads the performance across two discs.
