Description

Street Songs pairs hard-edged funk with streetwise storytelling and slow-burning soul, moving from the strutting grooves of "Give It To Me Baby" and "Super Freak" to the grittier social observation of "Ghetto Life" and "Mr. Policeman." Rick James balances party-ready rhythm tracks with romantic material such as "Fire And Desire," giving the record range beyond the dancefloor.
