Description

Souled Out moves through hushed, atmospheric contemporary R&B, with Jhené Aiko's airy vocals layered over slow-drifting production that borrows the haze of hip-hop and the softness of soul. Tracks such as "The Pressure," "Spotless Mind," and "Eternal Sunshine" lean on introspection and unhurried tempos rather than obvious hooks, and the sequencing rewards listening straight through. Originally released in 2014.
