Description

The Super Deluxe reissue of Adore, spread across six CDs and a DVD holding 107 tracks.

Adore, released in 1998, was the record where The Smashing Pumpkins traded distortion for drum machines, pianos and mourning. Made after the death of Billy Corgan's mother and the departure of Jimmy Chamberlin, it is the strangest and most intimate album in the catalogue, and the one whose reputation has grown most since.

The set presents the remastered album in stereo and again in a mono version, with four further discs of bonus material: demos, alternate versions, outtakes and recordings from the sessions that show how many directions the album nearly went in. "Ava Adore," "Perfect," "To Sheila," "Crestfallen" and "Annie-Dog" appear alongside a great deal of previously unheard work. A DVD completes the box.
