Description

Silver in Seattle: Live at the Penthouse captures Horace Silver on stage at the Seattle club in 1965, working through hard bop material with the blues-rooted, gospel-inflected swing that runs through his writing. The set takes in "The Kicker," "Song For My Father," and "The Cape Verdean Blues," with spoken band introductions leaving the atmosphere of the room intact.
