Description

Sailing The Seas Of Cheese is Primus' second studio album and the band's 1991 major-label debut on Interscope. Built around Les Claypool's elastic bass lines, surreal humor, and the trio's jagged funk-metal attack, the album helped establish Primus as one of alternative rock's most idiosyncratic acts. "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver," "Tommy the Cat," and "Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers" capture the set's mix of virtuosity, absurd character sketches, and heavy groove.
