Description

Rule The World: The Greatest Hits gathers Tears For Fears' best-known singles, tracing the move from taut, synth-driven pop into wider, more orchestrated pop-rock. "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" and "Shout" sit alongside the brooding "Mad World" and the layered sweep of "Sowing The Seeds Of Love," with later material broadening the picture. The sequencing favors melodic hooks shadowed by melancholy.
