Description

Rotten Apples, Greatest Hits gathers the Smashing Pumpkins' swing between crushing distortion, dreamlike melody and hushed electronic pulse into a single-disc overview of the band's alternative rock run. It moves from the guitar squall of "Cherub Rock" and "Zero" to the sweeping drama of "Tonight, Tonight" and the muted glide of "1979," with quieter turns such as "Disarm" easing the pressure.
