Description

Rainy Day Music is The Jayhawks' 2003 studio album, a warm return toward the harmony-rich alternative country and folk-rock sound that helped define the band's earlier work. Produced by Ethan Johns with Rick Rubin as executive producer, the album features the group in a reflective mode, emphasizing acoustic textures, melodic restraint, and Gary Louris' songwriting voice. Songs such as "Save It for a Rainy Day," "Stumbling Through the Dark," and "Tailspin" give the record its wistful, accessible character.
