Description

Oracle presents Gary Peacock in intimate duo dialogue with guitarist Ralph Towner, trading spare, closely listened lines across nine pieces recorded in 1993. The music sits in ECM's contemplative chamber-jazz territory, where bass and guitar share melodic duties rather than settling into fixed roles, as on "Gaya," "St. Helens," and the title track "Oracle."
