Description

Only A Lad is Oingo Boingo's 1981 debut album, introducing the Los Angeles band's manic blend of new wave, ska, punk energy, theatrical vocals, and sharp social satire. Led by Danny Elfman, the group turned nervous rhythms, horn accents, and angular arrangements into a sound that stood apart from more straightforward rock of the era. The title track remains one of the band's defining songs.
