Description

Murmur established the sound that shaped American alternative rock for the decade that followed, pairing chiming, arpeggiated guitar figures with melodies half-buried in reverb and vocals that hint at meaning rather than spell it out. Tracks including "Radio Free Europe," "Talk About the Passion," and "Perfect Circle" move between brisk jangle-pop momentum and quieter, more elusive material.
