Description

Theatre of Pain is Mötley Crüe’s third studio album, released in 1985 as the follow-up to Shout at the Devil. It broadened the band’s hard rock approach with bluesy grooves and a greater emphasis on melody.

Their cover of Brownsville Station’s “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” brings a rowdy swagger, while the piano-led “Home Sweet Home” turns toward the power ballad. Opener “City Boy Blues” supplies a grittier counterpoint. Presented on a single vinyl LP.
