Description

Mother Love Bone collects material by the Seattle band fronted by Andrew Wood, whose glam-influenced hard rock became an important precursor to the early-1990s Pacific Northwest scene. The release brings together music associated with the Apple album and Shine EP, highlighting Wood's charismatic vocals and the band's mix of arena-rock ambition, alternative edge, and emotional volatility. Its historical importance is tied to the later formation of Pearl Jam after Wood's death.
