Description

In Search Of... pushes hip-hop into rock, funk and soul territory, pairing hard-edged guitars and loose-limbed drums with falsetto hooks and restless, off-kilter production. Tracks such as "Lapdance," "Provider," and "Rock Star" swing between snarling aggression, sun-warmed melody and slow-burning groove, leaving the record difficult to file under any single style.
