Description

Handwritten is The Gaslight Anthem's 2012 album and their first for Mercury, produced by Brendan O'Brien. The New Jersey band leans into anthemic heartland rock, punk-rooted drive, and Brian Fallon's blue-collar narrative voice, expanding the promise of The '59 Sound and American Slang into a bigger studio frame. Songs such as "45," "Here Comes My Man," and the title track emphasize urgency, memory, and widescreen choruses.
