Description

Gospel Music finds Joel Ross shaping a long-form jazz statement around themes of faith, devotion and reflection, with the bright, resonant tone of the vibraphone at the center of the writing. The music moves between hushed, hymn-like passages and looser, group-driven stretches, giving pieces such as "Wisdom Is Eternal (For Barry Harris)" and "Calvary" room to unfold at their own pace.
