Description

Elis & Tom is the 1974 collaboration between Brazilian singer Elis Regina and composer Antônio Carlos Jobim, widely regarded as a cornerstone of MPB and bossa nova. Recorded in Los Angeles, the album pairs Regina's expressive, emotionally direct singing with Jobim's sophisticated harmonic language and understated arrangements. Songs such as "Águas de Março" have become central to the record's reputation and to Brazilian popular music more broadly.
