Description

Document (R.E.M. No. 5) finds the band tightening its jangling college-rock foundations into something sharper and more forceful, with vocals pushed to the front and the guitars given a harder, drier edge. "Finest Worksong," "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" and "The One I Love" carry a restless political charge alongside the group's more elliptical imagery.
