Description

Cream’s Goodbye, their fourth and final album, was released in 1969 as the band came to an end, combining live recordings with a handful of studio tracks. As a farewell statement, it reflects both sides of the trio’s identity, capturing their onstage improvisation alongside more structured late-period songwriting.

Live cuts like “I’m So Glad” and “Sitting on Top of the World” highlight the band’s extended, blues-based interplay, while “Badge,” co-written with George Harrison, stands as their final single and a glimpse of their evolving studio direction. The closing tracks, including “Doing That Scrapyard Thing,” round out the album with a more reflective tone. This CD edition presents the original hybrid tracklist.
