Description

Countdown To Ecstasy presents Steely Dan's 1973 set of jazz-inflected rock, built on intricate chord changes, extended guitar solos, and lyrics delivered with dry, sardonic detachment. Tracks such as "Bodhisattva," "Show Biz Kids," and "My Old School" lean harder on live-band interplay than on studio gloss, while "Pearl Of The Quarter" slows into gentler, country-tinged territory.
