Description

Cold Roses is Ryan Adams' 2005 album with The Cardinals, a sprawling double-album set that leans into country rock, Grateful Dead-like looseness, and Adams' prolific songwriting voice. The record marked the first of three Adams albums issued that year and helped define the Cardinals' warm, road-worn band chemistry. Songs such as "Let It Ride," "Magnolia Mountain," and "Sweet Illusions" showcase the album's blend of melancholy and open-road melody.
