Description

Chopin & Scriabin: 24 Preludes sets two complete prelude cycles side by side, traveling through all twenty-four keys twice across a single program. Pletnev shades the Chopin miniatures with unhurried rubato and transparent voicing, from the poised calm of the "Raindrop Prelude" to the storming close in D minor, then carries that touch into Scriabin's darker, more elusive harmonic language.
