Description

Bottomless Pit pushes the trio of Stefan Burnett, Zach Hill and Andy Morin into their most abrasive territory, welding distorted electronics and hardcore-tempo drumming to Burnett's barked, hectoring delivery. Tracks like "Giving Bad People Good ideas" and "Hot Head" lurch between blown-out noise, rhythmic churn and sudden bursts of melody, while "Houdini" and the closing title track show how much structure survives the chaos.
