Marking the fifth anniversary of Bernard Haitink’s passing, Decca is proud to present the third and final limited-edition box in a series that began with the landmark Concertgebouw Orchestra edition and continued with the London recordings.

§ The focus of this edition is Bernard Haitink’s recordings with three of the world’s leading orchestras: the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Wiener Philharmoniker

§ Also included are recordings of Mahler and Poulenc with the European Community Youth Orchestra, Fidelio from Dresden (with Jessye Norman), and from the early stereo years, a partnership with David Oistrakh coupling Mozart with Stravinsky. Most intriguing perhaps, is music by Turnage recorded with the Chicago Symphony.
