Description

Be is Common's 2005 album, a focused return to soulful, sample-rich hip-hop built largely around production by Kanye West, with additional work from J Dilla. The record is concise, warm, and reflective, pairing Common's grounded writing with basslines, gospel colors, and vintage soul textures. Tracks such as "The Corner," "Go!," and "Testify" helped reintroduce him to a wider audience.
