Description

Arvo Pärt: Alina gathers five performances of two Pärt compositions, "Spiegel im Spiegel" and "Für Alina," arranged as an interleaved sequence that keeps returning to the same material from slightly different angles. The music moves at a hushed, unhurried pace, built from plain intervals, wide spaces, and melodic lines that unfold with almost no ornament. Originally released in 1999.
