Description

American IV: The Man Comes Around is Johnny Cash's 2002 album in the American Recordings series, produced by Rick Rubin. The record pairs Cash's weathered voice with stark arrangements and deeply reflective material, including the title song and his widely known reading of "Hurt." Its blend of originals and covers became a defining late-career statement.
