Description

Aja finds Steely Dan pushing their songcraft deep into jazz-fusion territory, with extended arrangements, polished studio detail, and lyrics that hide unease beneath smooth surfaces. "Deacon Blues" stretches out at a leisurely, melancholy pace, while "Peg" and "Josie" lean on tight grooves and sharp hooks. The seven-track sequence rewards close listening, engaging fans of intricate horn and guitar work as much as classic-rock radio staples. This is a reissue edition on CD.
