A Go Go LP

Description

A Go Go pairs John Scofield's elastic, blues-inflected guitar lines with the loose, organ-driven grooves of Medeski, Martin & Wood, landing where jazz-funk, soul-jazz and fusion overlap. Pieces such as "Chank" and "Hottentot" ride deep pockets and vintage keyboard textures rather than dense harmony, which makes the record approachable for listeners arriving from funk and jam-band directions as well as straight-ahead jazz.
