Description

A Capitol Christmas gathers holiday recordings drawn from the Capitol Records vaults, spanning the late 1940s through the 1960s and leaning on lush orchestral arrangements, big-band swing, and warm jazz-pop vocals. The collection features Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, Margaret Whiting, and Johnny Mercer. Familiar standards such as "The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You)," "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!," and "Silver Bells" sit alongside lighter novelty fare and quieter carols.
