Shades of a Blue Orphanage (SHM-CD)
The band's second album for Decca was released in 1972, produced by Nick Tauber, and featuring a line up of Phil Lynott, Eric Bell and Brian Downey. The title came from the member's previous band names, Shades of Blue and Orphanage. Never previously available outside of Japan, these SHM-CD titles made available for the first time globally.
SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) is a high quality CD. It is fully compatible with all CD players. To achieve a higher level of quality, SHM-CD utilizes a special polycarbonate material that leads to additional clarity, depth and definition of sound.
