Murray Street is the twelfth studio album by Sonic Youth, recorded at the band's Echo Canyon studio in lower Manhattan with Jim O'Rourke, who joined the group as a full-time member during this period. The sessions stretched across 2001 and 2002, placing the record amid a period of significant change for both the band and its downtown New York surroundings.

"The Empty Page" opens the album with one of its most direct guitar lines, while the extended "Rain on Tin" and Lee Ranaldo's "Karen Revisited" give the band's interlocking guitar work room to unfold. Kim Gordon closes the record with the slow-building "Sympathy for the Strawberry." This edition is presented on enhanced CD.
