Independent Worm Saloon is the sixth studio album by Butthole Surfers and their first major-label release for Capitol Records. Produced by John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, it brought a heavier, more focused edge to the band’s abrasive alternative rock without sanding off their eccentricity.

“Who Was in My Room Last Night?” drives the record with a tense, riff-heavy attack, while “The Wooden Song” pulls in a looser psychedelic feel and “Dust Devil” leans into the album’s harder side. This edition is presented on CD.
