EPMD released their first album, Strictly Business on June 7, 1988, through Fresh/Sleeping Bag Records and BCM Records. The album was recorded in under a month at Charles Marotta’s studio and became a blueprint of hip-hop's golden era. Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith revolutionized the hip-hop scene by incorporating their unique flow with iconic samples like Zapp's "More Bounce to the Ounce" and Kool & the Gang's "Jungle Boogie" and more. The Gold-certified album is now available on a Spring Green 2LP vinyl pressing, featuring singles “Yous Gots to Chill”, “It’s My Thing”, and “Strictly Business”.
