The record also reunited Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as active songwriting partners following a period of tension within the group. “Mixed Emotions” channels that renewed collaboration into a direct, riff-led single, while “Rock and a Hard Place” leans into the band’s arena-scale attack. “Almost Hear You Sigh” brings a more measured mood, and Keith Richards closes the album with “Slipping Away” on this CD edition.
