Follow the Leader is the second studio album by American hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim, following their debut album Paid in Full in 1987. Best known for the title track "Follow the Leader”, which peaked at number 16 on the Hot Black Singles, #11 on the Hot Dance/Disco, and #5 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart, the album features Eric B.'s innovative, minimalist production style and Rakim's infleuntial and blisteringly brilliant braggadocio. While the golden age of hip-hop certainly has a surplus of fantastic LPs. this one deserves to be right up there near, if not at, the top. This is the first time the album is available as a deluxe 2LP set.
