Here's to the women who rock our world!

Lana Del Rey

"Combining low, Marilyn Monroe-esque vocals with dreamy instrumentals, Lana Del Rey’s album Born To Die transgressed between diverse genres such as alternative and dreamy shoe-gaze pop. Lana classifies her own music as “Hollywood sadcore” – appealing to a bourgeoisie, heart-wrenching lifestyle. Born To Die reached the weekly top charts of many countries such as Australia, Ireland, and France. The album brings a sense of nostalgia with certain tracks off the album such as “Summertime Sadness” and “Video Games.”"

The Go Gos

Beauty and the Beat is the debut album from California new wave band The Go-Go's. Released in 1981 on the I.R.S. Records label, the album was preceded by the single and signature song "We Got the Beat." It also includes the hit single "Our Lips Are Sealed." The LP sold in excess of 2 million copies and reached double-platinum status, making it one of the most successful debut albums of all time. Critically acclaimed, it has been described as one of the "cornerstone albums of American new wave."

Bobbi Humphrey

Bobbi Humphrey, a standout on Blue Note in the 1970s, debuted with "Flute In" in 1971, marking the start of six remarkable albums. Her collaboration with producer Larry Mizell on "Blacks and Blues" in 1973 expanded her audience with a jazz-funk classic. This winning partnership continued on "Satin Doll" in 1974 and reached its peak on the great 1975 album "Fancy Dancer." Humphrey's captivating flute, combined with Larry and Fonce Mizell's ingenious arrangements, showcased a blend of influences from black music, with standout tracks like "Uno Esta," "You Make Me Feel So Good," and "Please Set Me At Ease," famously remade by Madlib in 2003 on "Shades Of Blue."

Rihanna

The multi-platinum follow up to Music Of The Sun, A Girl Like Me includes Rihanna’s first number one single, "SOS," and the hit "Unfaithful." A Girl Like Me shows the early progression of Rihanna’s introspective writing, which would become a signature throughout her career. On color vinyl for the first time, the official artist version will come in a 2LP translucent sea glass vinyl.

The Cranberries

Deluxe edition of To The Faithful Departed – The Cranberries’ monumental third album. Originally released in 1996, the album has sold over six million copies worldwide and became the band’s highest-charting album on the U.S. Billboard Top 200.

Lady Gaga

It's difficult not to view Joanne through the prism of Artpop, the 2013 album where Lady Gaga's expanding fame balloon finally popped. Ambitious but muddled, Artpop debuted high but came crashing down to the ground, stalling out after the second single, the R. Kelly duet "Do What U Want." Gaga quickly retreated to the confines of cabaret, cutting a nicely accomplished standards album with Tony Bennett, a move that not only gave her the opportunity to work with a legend, but signaled that she considered Artpop a step too far: The camp of Cheek to Cheek was elegant, not garish, an acknowledgment that she was once again back in control of her joke. It set the stage for Joanne, a clever streamlining of the Lady Gaga persona that functions as the opposite of Artpop.

KACEY MUSGRAVES

GOLDEN HOUR

After winning Album Of The Year at the Grammy’s, Kacey Musgraves really won the heart of America with her fourth studio album, Golden Hour and witty personality. The lyricism of each track ranges from being by yourself and content with “Lonely Weekend” to a lovely, sweet homage in the track “Mother.” Kacey’s soft, sultry voice along with her divine, genuine lyricism will have you putting this album on repeat over and over again.
